XSI introduces XSI Apprentice, a governed programming-by-demonstration tool, in preview

Extended Systems Intelligence Corporation (XSI) introduced XSI Apprentice™ in preview: a programming-by-demonstration tool designed to turn a repetitive task into an inspectable workflow under human review.

How it works

A worker demonstrates the task and Apprentice prepares a workflow on the Microsoft Agent Framework. A second person approves the workflow before it goes live. A person reviews the work product from every run before it is accepted.

Two gates around a demonstrated task
The preview keeps workflow activation and acceptance of each result under human review.
The flagship agentic application

Apprentice is the first of XSI's agentic applications for XSI-AIMS: tools built for the virtual worker and governed by the specification. Because Apprentice registers through XSI-AIMS, its actions are logged and subject to the specification's controls, and the people who run it see and steer the work from XSI Helm.

Gap: what XSI isn't claiming

The demonstration-capture and workflow-synthesis path is still maturing in preview. Apprentice’s intended scope is repetitive, demonstrable work whose results can be checked. New or ambiguous work may require further human input.

From the founder

"Everyone wants to automate the boring, repeating parts of the job. What's stopped them is the choice on offer — a macro too brittle to trust, or a bot too autonomous to trust," said Rhyan J. Neble, founder of Extended Systems Intelligence. "An apprentice is neither. You show it the work once, you sign off until you trust it, and it tells you how many hours it gave you back. You're always the master."

Availability

XSI Apprentice is introduced in preview as of July 7, 2026. Scope and availability are subject to change during preview. See it at the "Do you have an apprentice?" landing page. Request access at the waitlist.
